The beautiful Urubamba River runs through the astonishing Sacred Valley of the Incas. The Urubamba River has rapids up until class III+, in rainy seasons class IV. A good alternative to Apurimac River both in price and in time.
Early pick up at your hotel and transfer to the Urubamba River in the Sacred Valley of the Incas (northern Cusco), Meeting with our guide who will give you and introductory briefing on safety and equipment for your trip running the Urubamba.
The raft will last around 2 ½ hours in Class II, III, IV and even V rapids, depending on which route you select. Starting point could be on Huambutio Class II, Ollantaytambo Class III (We run it from May to December), Quiquijana Class III (December to May) or Chuquicahuana Class III, IV and V (December to May).
Lunch and return to Cusco. Arrival at around 5:00 PM.
The rainy season is the best time to go rafting because Urubamba river gets much faster and waves and other hydraulics are larger. Rainy season lasts from December to April.
